Joshua Graeff founded Northern Pacific Asset Management with a mission to provide exceptional, client-centric wealth management rooted in integrity and strategic insight. With over a decade of financial advisory experience, Josh combines a global perspective with a disciplined approach to help clients achieve their financial goals.

Raised in Vancouver, Washington, Josh developed a strong sense of responsibility and service while working in his family’s independent pharmacy, delivering medical equipment and prescriptions to elderly and care-facility patients. His passion for finance was sparked early by his uncle, a Piper Jaffray stockbroker, and deepened through his study of The Wall Street Journal, Benjamin Graham’s The Intelligent Investor and Securities Analysis.

Josh’s worldview was shaped by his service as a Machine Gunner in the U.S. Marine Corps Infantry, where he was deployed with the Marine Expeditionary Unit (Special Operations Capable) alongside the U.S. Navy’s 6th Fleet. Operating across the Mediterranean, Adriatic, Red Seas, and Persian Gulf, he gained valuable insights into global economics and cultural dynamics—perspectives that inform his approach to wealth management in today’s interconnected world.

After his military service, Josh studied business, economics, and international studies at Bellevue College and began his financial career in 2009 with AXA Advisors. There, he distinguished himself by advising business owners on succession planning, exit strategies, and executive compensation, while crafting tailored investment portfolios focused on sustainable competitive advantages.

In 2015, Josh established Northern Pacific Asset Management in Seattle through KMS Financial Services, which later merged into Securities America (2020) and then Osaic Wealth (2024). In 2021, he relocated the firm to Houston, Texas, drawn by the state’s robust business climate and Houston’s thriving industries, including energy, healthcare, and technology.

As a Behavioral Financial Advisor (BFA™), Josh integrates behavioral finance with holistic planning to create strategies aligned with clients’ values and goals. He is an active member of the Financial Services Institute and has been affiliated with organizations like the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Rotary International, and Seattle-area Chambers of Commerce, reflecting his commitment to professional excellence and community leadership.

Josh resides in Houston with his wife, Zhanna, with whom he shares a passion for global travel and cultural exploration. An outdoorsman at heart, he enjoys skiing, golf, hunting, shooting and overlanding in his free time.
